No packaging is complete without decoration. Scarcely anything determines the image to the same extent. PET Power works closely with renowned suppliers with a varied range. If the customer wants to work with its own business contacts, PET Power is ready to cooperate. Only one thing counts: the final result.
Labelling
Labelling is the most common form of decoration. It looks simple, but there is a lot to be considered. PET Power and the customer first have to harmonise carefully the label surface with the packaging. They will also consult on the size and the position. The label is often placed on the side, both in the case of round and other shapes of packaging. But sometimes the two agree on another spot that offers unexpected advantages, such as the base or the lid. There are other options. These days, labels can also consist of several layers. The customer can simply ‘peel them off’. This is useful if the wording has to be presented in several languages or if special marketing campaign codes are to be concealed. In addition, the use of relief has to be considered. This adds feel effects to the product, an additional dimension in use. Relief can also be used to provide Braille script. Another option: keep the label completely transparent, providing a no‑label look. The product itself seems to be imprinted. All in all, intensive consultation is needed for the right choice. PET Power is always available.
Printing
Printing directly onto the jar or bottle is also popular. It lends a chic appearance, which is why cosmetics manufacturers in particular often choose it. Printing is normally outsourced, which has the advantage that the filling manufacturer does not have to install a labelling line. Beautiful effects can be achieved using single or multiple colours. PET Power has a varied collection of samples, allowing the customer to make an informed choice.
Sleeving
The third main method is sleeving. In this process, PET Power applies a sleeve to a part or all of the packaging and subsequently pulls it tight. The advantage is that the entire packaging can be furnished with colour and text in this way. Consider also gloss and matt effects, relief and various typefaces. The choice of material for the sleeves also has effects: on the shelf life and also on the price. Customers often use high-value sleeves for grade A brands and other decorations for own-brand labels. Sometimes they make use of a sleeve to boost a temporary marketing campaign. For example, in the context of an event, the product then draws greater attention on the shelf.
And more
These are the methods most frequently applied. There is more:
-
Finishing with lacquer or spray.
-
Metallic coating; special matt effects can be achieved in this way.
-
PET globe shape looks like a Christmas tree decoration.
A summary that could be longer. Ultimately there is one main issue: that the end-product draws maximum attention when it’s presented. PET Power is able to provide a complete service. |
